This is the Gems guide to Crash 2. Have fun.

Level One: Turtle Woods -
Box Gem: Get all boxes including from bonus rounds(nitro boxes count too)
Blue Gem: Don't get any boxes(not even checkpoints)
When you get to the wall of boxes, jump on the bouncy box to get over without breaking any boxes.

Level Two: Snow Go -
Box Gem: Get all boxes
Red Gem: You can't get this yet.

Level Three: Hang Eight -
Box Gem: Get all boxes
Clear Gem: When you get so far without dying, there will be a timer that pops up, get to the end of the level without dying or running out of time(get more time by going to the bonus round and die.) Trust Me.

Level Four: The Pits -
Box Gem: All boxes

Level Five: Crash Dash
Box Gem: All boxes(this is getting monotonous)

Level Seven: Air Crash
NOTE: I know I left out Level Six, it was on purpose, just relax and do what it says.
Box Gem: Not yet
Clear Gem: At the end of a death route(get to the platform without dying)
Here's why Level Seven went before six. At the first dock, you see to boxes kind of behind each other to the right. Jump using these to the platform behind the second box. This is a warp tile. You are warped back to Snow Go. Follow the path to get to a drop where you will get the RED Gem when you do. Finish the level and you have a Red Gem. You need this to get the box gem in level six.

Level Six: Snow Biz
Box Gem: Hit all boxes including those when you go on the Red platform

Level Eight: Bear It
Box Gem: You know the drill

Level Nine: Crash Crush
Box Gem: Same as others

Level Ten: The Eel Deal
Box Gem: Repeat
Green Gem: In the room filled with a hell of a lot of nitro boxes, the back wall is fake. Go to the end of this path behind it to get the green gem.

Level Eleven: Plant Food
Box Gem: Repeat
Yellow Gem: There is another timer in this level, you know what to do so do it.

Level Twelve: Sewer or Later
Clear Gem: Yellow platform. At the end of that path there is a clear gem

Level Thirteen: Bear Down
Box Gem: Repeat, get the gem but don't warp out of level. There is a secret warp to get the box gem for Air Crash. It is on the white platform on the lake you jumped over.

Level Fourteen: Road to Ruin
Box Gem: Repeat
Clear Gem: Death Route

Level Fifteen: Un-Bearable
Box Gem: Repeat
Secret Warp!!!! - After getting your box gem don't warp back. Instead, go back to the bear cub that threw you off you will be warped to the secret warp room.

Level Twenty-Six: Totally Bear
Box Gem: You know what to do

Level Sixteen: Hangin' Out
Box Gem: Just do it
Secret Warp!!! - After you fall in eel-less water go into the screen(press down) and you will be transported to Level 27: Totally Fly

Level Twenty-Seven: Totally Fly
Box Gem: It may be tricky but you can get it.

Level Seventeen: Diggin' It
Box Gem: Get it; got it; good.
Clear Gem: Death Route

Level Eighteen: Cold Hard Crash
Box Gem: Need to use death route and get boxes then head back to the skull elevator and get the boxes.
Clear Gem: See the gem down the drop in the death route, drop down to get it but don't hit the Checkpoint, kill yourself and go back to get the boxes explained above.

Level Nineteen: Ruination
Box Gem: Not yet
Clear Gem: Ya' need the Green Gem to get this hop on the Gem elevator and follow the path to the gem.

Level Twenty: Bee-Having
Box Gem: Do it again
Purple Gem: Sooner or later you'll come across a nitro staircase climb up to get to secret area. Get the purple gem.

Level Twenty-One: Piston It Away
Box Gem: Do it
Clear Gem: Death Route

Level Twenty-Two: Rock It
Box Gem: Repeat

Level Twenty-Three: Night Fight
Box Gem: Hard but doable
Clear Gem: Death Route

Level Twenty-Four: Pack Attack
Box Gem: Again

Level Twenty-Five: Spaced-Out
Box Gem: Do it Clear Gem: Need ALL colored gems to get it
